The Albert Kahn Sonata is meditative film offering a poetic glimpse of Detroit through music and the timeless architecture of Albert Kahn. The work was composed by Michael Kropf, filmed by John Mark Hanson and performed by Forrest Howell.
The sonata is inspired by three of Kahn’s most iconic works: the Fisher Building, Belle Isle Aquarium and the haunting remains of the Packard Plant. Through images and sound, the film enables viewers to experience Detroit as a living composition where architecture becomes memory and emotion.
The Albert Kahn Sonata is an extraordinary work of art and a unique cinematic tribute to the architectural vision of Albert Kahn.
Seating is limited. Register today to experience the Detroit premier of The Albert Kahn Sonata.
