Celebrating the Women of the Kahn Family and the Duderstadt Center’s 30th Anniversary (January 6-20, 2026)
Celebrating the Women of the Kahn Family and the Duderstadt Center’s 30th Anniversary
The University of Michigan’s Duderstadt Center Gallery will celebrate the unique and historical accomplishments of the Women of the Kahn Family from January 6-20, 2026. As the first-ever comprehensive gallery exhibit dedicated to the Kahn women’s groundbreaking achievements, we will reveal their hidden architectural, social, and cultural histories. Photos, writings, books, and other artifacts will be displayed from the archives of Albert Kahn Associates, Inc., the Bentley Historical Library, Archives of American Art, the Helen Keller Archives, the Burton Collection, and the Cleveland Public Library, as well as from the personal collections of family members.
This exhibit also honors the thirtieth anniversary of the Duderstadt Center, designed by Albert Kahn Associates. Case Kittel, the great-grandson of Albert and Ernestine Kahn, will debut the newly produced drone footage of the Duderstadt Center. University of Michigan students will also exhibit their Kahn-inspired artworks.
Join us for the opening reception of the Women of the Kahn Family Exhibit at the Duderstadt Center Gallery, located on U of M’s North Campus.
