How the Plaque Program Works
The AKLF launched this plaque program to help protect and celebrate Kahn designed buildings that still shape our cities. Plaque unveilings create moments of civic pride, like the Strathcona Building in Walkerville, which received the first AKLF bronze plaque as part of a restoration celebration.

AKLF reviews available documentation to verify your building as an authentic Albert Kahn design.
Plaque Creation
Once verified, your official cast bronze plaque is produced and prepared for installation.
Recognition and Listing
Your lifetime membership begins immediately and your building can be featured on the Albert Kahn Legacy Interactive Map, making it easier for others to discover and learn about its history.
Program Pricing
Proceeds help us create and offer events to our community, including lectures, tours and exhibits, as well as our archival efforts. Partnering with us will help us grow and reach a new and more diverse audience — while building a connection with our community and your business. Part of your contribution may be tax deductible.
